This 1,800 square foot upper east side apartment combination is the home of an artist and a physician. The design expresses the owners’ intent to inhabit a resilient layout yielding functionality and beauty; a space that allows them to display their eclectic mix of furniture, drawings, paintings and objects. A stained mdf feature wall that runs through the apartment conceals a study/guest room, creates a gallery, organizes spaces and provides selected vistas of the apartment’s river-to-river views. The kitchen, with white granite countertops and back-painted glass walls, provides a light contrast to the feature wall.
